TV tonight: 'The Roosevelts,' 'Sleepy Hollow,' 'Worst'

The Roosevelts: An Intimate History
PBS, 8 ET/PT (times may vary)
Ken Burns's masterful seven-part film, which tells the story of the Roosevelts and, through them, the story of America through much of the 20th Century, switches into its final chapters tonight. Teddy is gone, Franklin is president, and Eleanor is about to become the best-loved (as least among those who don't loathe her) woman in the world. Part of the film follows the rocky path of their marriage; part follows the troubled path of a nation faced with economic collapse at home and growing threats abroad. Some of the challenges mirror our own, but most of them make ours look small in comparison. And the solutions make FDR loom ever larger.
Sleepy Hollow
Fox, 8 ET/PT
This madly enjoyable history/fantasy mashup prepares for its return with a repeat of a first-season finale that went past surprising to out-and-out shocking. If you haven't watched yet, you're in for a great twist — but be warned that it comes attached to one of those outrageously prolonged villain-to-captured-hero explanations that Buffy the Vampire Slayer routinely mocked.
You're the Worst
FX, 10:30 ET/PT
Four summer shows end tonight: Rush and Satisfaction on USA; Married and You're the Worst on FX. Only Worst deserves to return, but then, only Worst deserved to air in the first place, so nothing has changed.
