TV tonight: 'Broke Girls,' 'Sleepy Hollow'

2 Broke Girls
CBS, 8 ET/PT
Well, it was fun while it lasted. Alas, The Big Bang Theory is headed back to Thursday — leaving us with a show that proves just how dull witless smut can be.
Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown
HBO, 9 ET/PT
Here's tonight's musical choice. You can watch The Voice (NBC, 8 ET/PT) search for a new star as it enters its knockout round. Or you can watch one giant take on another, in this film from Mick Jagger about one of the greatest stars of the modern era: the late James Brown. It's possible The Voice will actually find the hit-maker it's been looking for this season — but no one is ever going to find another Godfather of Soul.
Sleepy Hollow
Fox, 9 ET/PT
Sheriff Corbin's son returns to a town that is already beginning to feel overcrowded. To prosper, of course, series often need to expand their ensembles and their universe, but Hollow seems to have done so too quickly and in too haphazard a manner, which may help explain why the show is shedding viewers as quickly as it's gaining characters. It's still entertaining, and its best virtues are still in place, but every minute spent on Hawley, Katrina and the headed version of the Horseman is a minute not spent with characters we care more about.
