Sunday TV: 'Simpsons,' 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' 'CSI'
The Simpsons
Fox, Sunday, 8 ET/PT
Even Mr. Burns is not beyond the call of the romantic wild as Lisa learns, to her horror, when her latest plan goes awry. To stop Burns's latest money-making scheme, fracking around Springfield, Lisa turns to big-deal liberal assemblywoman Maxine Lombard — and is then shocked when sparks fly between Lombard and Burns. And who's providing Maxine's voice? Jane Fonda, who knows a little something about both liberal causes and unexpected pairings.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Fox, Sunday, 8:30 ET/PT
Sunday's good guest news continues on Brooklyn, which once again hosts the delightful Kyra Sedgwick as Deputy Chief Madeline Wuntch. There's a mole in the precinct, and Holt and Jake need to find out who it is before Wuntch does. And if Sedgwick isn't reason enough to watch, the episode also puts Terry and Rosa together for an undercover operation, and they usually make for a mighty amusing pair.
CSI
CBS, Sunday, 10:30 ET/10 PT
Over at CBS venerable CSI — grandfather to most of today's procedurals — has so many guests, it may have trouble fitting them all in. The case points back to the show's latest serial murderer, the Gig Harbor Killer. The guest list includes Patricia Arquette, Mark Valley and Mark-Paul Gosselaar — who really counts as two guests because he's playing twins.
