TV tonight: 'Gotham,' 'Jane the Virgin,' 'Scorpion'

Gotham
Fox, 8 ET/PT
Masters of Sex star Nicholas D'Agosto guest stars as D.A. Harvey Dent. Gordon (Ben McKenzie) hopes he's found an ally in his fight against the city's rising criminal tide — but fans of the comic books know those hopes are likely to be dashed.
Jane the Virgin
CW, 9 ET/PT
On the other hand, anyone hoping TV's best new series can continue its string of great episodes is about to find that wish fulfilled in a pivotal outing that finds Jane working her way toward forgiving Michael while dealing with her newly found father Rogelio's mean twin stepdaughters. There are amusing twists large (the very idea of a pregnant virgin working in a Catholic school) and small (the pride Rogelio takes in his theme-song covers) in an episode that may help establish Jaime Camil as another of the show's Emmy contenders. The only real blemish on an otherwise great outing is a continuing product-placement intrusion, one that makes you think the network didn't have enough faith in the show and was hedging its bets.
Scorpion
CBS, 9 ET/PT
It's family night on Monday's dramas. While Abbie deals with her mother's ghost on Fox's Sleepy Hollow, the Scorpion team rallies to protect Cabe's ex-wife. Jessica Tuck stars as the former spouse, who has evidence that a congressman was murdered.
