Nielsens: 'Walking Dead,' 'Aaliyah'


No trophy. CBS' first televised Hollywood Film Awards aimed to jumpstart red-carpet season with a few big stars, but managed just 4.1 million viewers Friday, tying CW among young-adult viewers.

Biopic. Lifetime's latest, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, about the late singing star, drew 3.2 million Saturday and as this year's No. 2 basic-cable movie among the young-adult crowd. It also was the most tweeted-about entertainment program on Twitter last week.

Sunday logjam: In the 9 p.m. ET/PT hour, AMC's The Walking Dead took the ratings crown (as usual) with 14.1 million viewers. Among its cable competition: E!'s Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons (1.8 million); Showtime's Homeland (1.7 million); HBO's The Newsroom (1.3 million)

Unscripted: Fox News Channel documentary The Man Who Killed Usama bin Laden marked its most-watched documentary, averaging 3 million viewers Tuesday and Wednesday.
