Nielsen ratings: 'Dancing',' 'Walking Dead' rise

Toes up. The 19th edition of Dancing With the Stars danced off Tuesday with 16 million viewers, up from 14.6 million for last fall's 17th finale (and 15.7 million last spring).

Walkers. AMC's fall finale of The Walking Dead claimed 14.8 million viewers, capping a half-season that's up 12% from last fall's. The series returns in February.

Trophy time. BET's Soul Train Awards drew 3.1 million viewers Sunday, when Nickelodeon's Halo Awards claimed 2.4 million.
