TV tonight: 'Rudolph,' 'Flash,' 'Forever'

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
CBS, 8 ET/PT
This stop-motion miracle spins Johnny Marks' simple carol into some delightfully complex directions, as Rudolph and his misfit friends learn to embrace their eccentricities. Burl Ives narrates and gets the score's best songs, Holly Jolly Christmas, Silver and Gold and, of course, the title tune, which is one of the catchiest and most oft-sung pop-tune carols of them all. And for those who remember Rudolph in his faded phase, this special — the longest-running of the annual holiday events — has now been restored to its original splendor, so the silver is actually silver, the gold is gold, and the Bumble is the proper shade of dirty white. Which is holly jolly, indeed.
The Flash
CW, 8 ET/PT
They're celebrating Christmas on The Flash as well, but it may not be a happy holiday — even for Iris, who may not be ready for the gift her boyfriend has planned. Still, the real threat to the holiday comes from the man in the yellow suit, or as Flash fans know him, Reverse-Flash, the team's latest and perhaps most dangerous target.
Forever
ABC, 10 ET/PT
While The Flash hopes to catch his nemesis, Henry discovers the real identity of his own. Unfortunately, before he does, he is suspected of murder — which is sort of where we started back in September.
