Alec Baldwin crashes 'Knots Landing' reunion

Devoted fans of Knots Landing will remember that Alec Baldwin had a role on the primetime soap back in the day.

We're talking 1984.

He played preacher named Joshua Rush for 40 episodes. The show aired on CBS from 1979 to 1993.

On Thursday, you can see Baldwin Skype in to reminisce with the cast for a special Knots Landing reunion episode of Hallmark Channel's Home & Family show (10 a.m. ET).

Hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare chat up Knots veterans Donna Mills, Joan Van Ark, Michele Lee, Ted Shackelford and Kevin Dobson to share memories, music and more.

"I remember (cinematographer) Hugh Gagnier saying that the show takes 3 hours to shoot and it was 9 hours of makeup and mirrors," cracks Baldwin.

As for how the show ended for his character? "I do remember jumping off the roof," he says. "I don't remember if I was pushed. I think Joan pushed me."

Van Ark offers a theory about the show's endurance: "One big fat reason why the show lasted was because there wasn't one bad apple in the group."

Michele Lee sings Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

Dobson and Shackelford make a fluffy angel food cake.

And Joan Van Ark shares a craft - DIY miniature Christmas trees!
