'Dancing' eliminates first star

For the second week of Dancing With the Stars, the theme was My Jam Monday, and our celebs were giving it their all for judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli.

Before the night was out, the first star of the season had to be sent packing. Was it maybe Redfoo, who was tied at the bottom of the leader board last week with model Charlotte McKinney?

Here's what happened (in the order they danced):

Poor Bachelor Chris Soules. He's confident and enthusiastic. But, um, he doesn't pick up the steps quickly, says his partner Witney. He got dinged for thinking he could casually pick up the cha cha this week. "Details! Details!" said Carrie Ann. Scores: 5, 6, 5, 5 = 21

Suzanne Somers says that at 68 years old she can still shake it. And she did a lotta that in her jive to Jerry Lee Lewis' Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On. Judges loved it. "Teasy but never sleazy," said Bruno. "It's not about your age!" an emotional Somers said to viewers, "It's about your energy." Scores; 7, 7, 7, 7 = 28

Shark Tank shark Robert Herjavec and his partner Kym Johnson seem to be having so much playful fun that the show is following them for a possible romance (gotta have one every season!). When asked about rumors, Kym said, "We're too busy dancing!" She looked at Robert. "Aren't we?" They foxtrotted beautifully to You Make Me Feel So Young. "You look great together," said host Tom Bergeron. Scores: 7, 7, 7, 7, = 28

Model Charlotte McKinney talked about how hurtful she found her first week, reading haters and negativity online and being stressed by the dance. Her beachy cha cha with Keo Motsepe to California Gurls was fun, if not perfect. "Don't give a damn about what everybody says!" urged Bruno. Scores: 7, 6, 7, 6 = 26

Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd did a foxtrot to Workin' My Way Back To You , and even though he had on a red sparkly tux jacket, he still seemed to be leading with his booty. "A little squatty," said Julianne. "Bum still sticking out," said Bruno. But mostly the judges raved. Scores: 7, 7, 7, 7 = 28

Rumer Willis, the top scorer from premiere week, wants to win this thing. She was shown asking partner Val Chmerkovskiy to rehearse their dance one more time earlier this week. Usually it's the pros who are cracking the whip on the poor stars. Their cha cha to (the very appropriate) Rumour Has It by Adele was blowaway good. The crowd wouldn't stop cheering and clapping. "You're a powerhouse," said Julianne. "I'm a goofball and a nerd," she said, describing herself. Scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32

Redfoo

says a fire has been lit under him to try to get better scores. He and Emma Slater jived to My Sharona. The high energy dance suited him. "That's the Redfoo we know and love," said Julianne. Scores: 8, 7, 8, 8 = 31

Willow Shields and the always-creatively edgy Mark Ballas did an artistic paint-spattered Argentine tango to Somebody That I Used to Know. The judges praised everything from her maturity to her lines to her intensity. "you're a potential winner," said Bruno. Scores: 8, 8, 8, 8, = 32

Noah Galloway and pro Sharna Burgess danced a sexy Country-Western samba to Homegrown Honey by Darius Rucker. Noah's open shirt revealing his buff bod helped. Scores: 7, 6, 7, 7 = 27 But the scores were nothing compared to the surprise he got when his girlfriend, who is in the military in basic training, suddenly surprised him out of nowhere.

Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough swished around with a sexy samba to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. These two don't even need to practice. Scores 9, 8, 8, 9 = 34

Riker Lynch slicked back his hair for his foxtrot with Allison Holker to Maroon 5's Sugar. He was smooth and suave. "I lika Riker," said Len. Julianne said it was "beautiful" and "dynamic." Scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32

Uh Oh. Patti LaBelle has a hurt knee. But you'd never know it from her salsa to In Da Club with Artem Chigvintsev. She. Brought. It. The house loved it. "You've been holding back on us!" shrieked Carrie Ann. "So kooky. So Empire," said Bruno. Scores: 7, 7, 7, 7 = 28

"Less than one-tenth of one-percent separated the bottom two couples," said Tom Bergeron heading into the elimination moment.

It came down to Suzanne Somers and Redfoo (though they were not necessarily the bottom two, said Bergeron.).

Sent home: Redfoo of LMFAO. There were boos for the news.

"I'm just happy I got the chance to dance," said Redfoo.
