Another celeb is done 'Dancing'

The theme of Monday's Dancing With the Stars was "The Most Memorable Year," in which each celeb picked a time that meant something special.

In other words, who could make us cry the most?

And, of course, another celeb was sent packing. Going into the night, diva Patti LaBelle and NFL star Michael Sam were at the bottom of the pack. Would one of them be leaving?

Here's how the night went with scores from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli.

Willow Shields' life changed in 2011 with The Hunger Games. She and partner Mark Ballas performed a contemporary dance with a Hunger Games theme, and it paid off as the judges pulled out the 10 paddles for the first time this season. Bruno called her "fierce and fearless." Scores: 10, 9, 10, 10 = 39

Nastia Liukin showed off her pro skills once again by recreating that night in 2008 when she won a gold medal at the Olympics in Beijing in gymnastics. Her Argentine tango with Derek Hough was gorgeous. Len was grumpy about it, but Bruno adored it. Scores: 9, 8, 9, 10 = 36

Rumer Willis picked 2014 as her most memorable year because she went through "huge changes." Growing up in the spotlight was tough, she said, recalling how people called her "butterface" and other horrible things. She said she finally realized she needed to stop listening to the bullies. Part of her inspiration was her sister, who went to rehab and "owned it." The show, she said, wiping away a tear, has brought her an outpouring of love. Her waltz with Val Chmerkovskiy was a study in gray whirls. "Beautiful, powerful and unique," said Bruno. Mom Demi Moore was in the crowd cheering her on. Scores: 9, 8, 9, 9 = 35

Riker Lynch said 2014 was his most memorable year because his band, R5, really began to take off. His tango with Allison Holker was funky and great. "You guys pop like nobody else," said Julianne. Scores: 8, 8, 9, 9 = 34

Robert Herjavec wept as he recalled the death of his mother, who was a big DWTS fan. "She would have been so happy." He dedicated his elegant waltz with partner Kym Johnson to her and reduced Carrie Ann to tears. Scores: 8, 9, 8, 9 = 34

Noah Galloway remembered 2005, the year he lost his arm and leg to a bomb in Iraq. And during practice this week, partner Sharna Burgess kicked out a tooth! He wound up drinking and isolating himself until he finally realized he had to change. He began to live a healthier life. "This dance represents the journey of acceptance from the man I was to the man I've become." Bare-chested and strong, he performed a stunning contemporary dance filled with lifts and twirls. "Your spirit soars unbroken," said Bruno. "You are the ultimate role model." Len urged everyone to give him a standing ovation. Scores: 8, 8, 8, 8 = 32

Michael Sam got emotional talking about his family falling apart, coming out as gay last year and being hurt by the lack of support from his father. His rumba with Peta Murgatroyd was also emotional, even though he's still stiff and lacking in grace. Scores: 7, 7, 8, 8 = 30

Patti LaBelle beefed up her dance this week, picking 1973 as her most memorable year because it's when her son was born. Her improved content and jazzy jazz dance with Artem Chigvintsev wowed the judges. Scores: 8, 7, 7, 8 = 30

Suzanne Somers said 1977 was her "life-changing" year. She wasn't getting any jobs and was about to quit when she landed Three's Company. With a tear in her eye, she dedicated her song to co-star John Ritter. She and pro Tony Dovolani did a sweet foxtrot to the Three's Company theme song on a re-creation of the sitcom's set. Scores: 7, 7, 7, 7 = 28

Chris Soules declared 2014 as the best of his life because he went on The Bachelor and found his "soul mate." His sexy rumba with partner Witney Carson made him happy. He ran over to his fiancee Whitney Bischoff and gave her a big hug afterward, saying, "I nailed it." But did it makes the judges happy? Not really. Said Len, "It wasn't that great." Scores: 7, 6, 7, 7 = 27

In the end, who was sent home?

Michael Sam. "It was an awesome experience," he said, and thanked his partner and the show.
