First look: Animated 'Avengers,' 'Spider-Man' expand worlds

All the cool Marvel stuff isn't just happening on the big screen — the animated Spider-Man and Avengers squad have a host of new allies and enemies in their upcoming TV seasons.

Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6, the fourth season of the wall-crawling hero's Disney XD series kicking off Feb. 21 (9 a.m. ET/PT), gives Spidey (voiced by Drake Bell) a group of superfriends for help in facing a seriously villainous group. And the third season featuring characters from the movies' resident A-list team, Marvel's Avengers: Ultron Revolution, debuts March 13 (8:30 a.m.) with a host of antagonists including the Masters of Evil, the Inhumans, Baron Zemo and time-traveling Kang the Conqueror.

The one-hour Spider-Man premiere finds the web-shooting hero and S.H.I.E.L.D. marked for destruction by Doctor Octopus, Arnim Zola and the evil Hydra organization, so he organizes a new Spider-squad of Agent Venom (Matt Lanter), Iron Spider (Eric Bauza), Scarlet Spider (Scott Porter) and Miles Morales (Arlen Escarpeta).

Marvel movie fans have all sorts of things to enjoy when the new Avengers season starts, beginning with an hour-long episode pitting the reunited heroes — including Iron Man (Adrian Pasdar), Captain America (Roger Craig Smith) and Hulk (Fred Tatasciore) — against the mad scientists of A.I.M. The killer robot Ultron is back but the Avengers will have an expanded roster of favorites this year including Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther and Ms. Marvel. And just as one internal civil war is brewing at the cinema — Captain America: Civil War, in theaters May 6 — another will be brewing in their cartoon adventures as well.
