Nielsens: 'Bachelor,' 'The Passion'
I do? The 20th (!) season finale of ABC's The Bachelor, in which Ben picked Lauren, betrothed 9.6 million same-day viewers Monday, even with last year. And it was case closed for How to Get Away With Murder, as Thursday's second-season wrap-up managed 5.3 million, down 41% from last season's finish.
Newcomers. NBC's Crowded wasn't, terribly, with 6.5 million viewers for Tuesday's post-Voice preview, falling to 3.7 million for the sitcom's Sunday timeslot debut. CBS spin-off Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders opened with 8.9 million Wednesday. And FX's The Americans said "da" to a fourth season Wednesday with 1.1 million.
Less passionate. Fox's latest "live" (but often taped) musical The Passion drew 6.6 million viewers Sunday, a long way from movie and Broadway-based precursors such as NBC's The Wiz Live (11.5 million) and Fox's own Grease Live, which claimed 12.2 million in January.
