Rosamund Pike adds spy style to Amazon's new 'Thunderbirds'
The Gone Girl is now an animated secret agent.
British actress Rosamund Pike voices English operative Lady Penelope, a field agent who helps out the heroic Tracy boys, in Thunderbirds Are Go. The new series, a reinvention of the classic marionette action-adventure from the 1960s that utilizes computer animation and live-action model sets, debuts its 13-episode first season for streaming today on Amazon Prime.
The five Tracy brothers of International Rescue keep the world safe, from underwater to outer space, using their nifty futuristic vehicles and technology. And this exclusive clip has Lady Penelope — and her cute Pug named Sherbet — getting an important assignment from John Tracy (Thomas Brodie-Sangster): The Hood, the mysterious and dastardly villain responsible for an accident involving the Tracys’ father, has reappeared and the bros need her help to find out the 411 on what shenanigans he’s up to now.
