Watch: New trailer for BBC America's revamped 'Top Gear'

If you're a non-gearhead following Matt LeBlanc to BBC America's Top Gear, you may do well to think of his new gig as an extended Friends road trip episode, but with way better transportation than that old yellow taxi Phoebe borrowed from her grandma. And unlike on Friends, this time, Joey actually gets to drive the Porsche, rather than just pose next to it on the street in a satin jacket.

The newest trailer for the revamped motor-fest takes the artist formerly known as Joey Tribbiani to Blackpool, which is like England's Las Vegas, but with much more rain. And instead of Chandler, his new onscreen BFF is a ginger radio host named Chris Evans who suffers from inopportune moments of motion sickness.

We must admit we're holding out hope that Matthew Perry, who's currently doing a play in London, will take a turn as the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car and that the crew will swap out the interview furniture with Barcaloungers for the occasion. (Note to the producers: Bonus points for putting a Stig helmet on a chick or duck and having it walk across the stage mid-interview. It can even be a wind-up toy; we don't want to get you in trouble with the Health and Safety folks.)

Top Gear returns later this month, with road trips to France, Morocco, Scotland, Nevada and California.
