Janssen, Eggold get 'Redemption' in their own 'Blacklist' spinoff

We've got good news and bad news for fans of NBC's The Blacklist, depending on your view of Tom (Ryan Eggold), the husband of FBI agent Liz Keen.

If you aren't too fond of him, take solace and that  you won't be seeing as much of him. If you're a fan, well then, huzzah! He's getting his own spinoff.

The Blacklist: The Redemption will put the undercover operative to work for Susan "Scottie" Hargrove (Famke Janssen), the head of the mercenary group Grey Matters, who also happens to be his biological mother. Bet on some rather angsty Finding Your Roots-style detective work when he's not hunting for his wife's attacker.

NBC announced the pickup Saturday in advance of its upfront presentation to advertisers Monday in New York.

Edi Gathegi and Tawny Cypress, who both appeared in several Season 3 episodes, will join Janssen and Eggold in the new show.
