Oct. 4

The Mindy Project  (Hulu): The fifth-season premiere's title "Decision 2016" promises to let viewers know which man Mindy Kaling's romantically-challenged doctor chose. Will it be Danny (Chris Messina) or Jody (Garret Dillahunt)?

Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids (Netflix): What would a concert film directed by The Silence of the Lambs' Jonathan Demme look like? You'll find out as the Oscar winner documents JT's final 20/20 Experience World Tour stop in Las Vegas.

Oct. 13

Mascots (Netflix): Think of it as Best in Show for sports mascots, as Christopher Guest's repertory actors compete for that field's top prize, The Gold Fluffy.

Oct. 14

Goliath (Amazon): David E. Kelley's latest legal drama stars Billy Bob Thornton as a disgraced attorney pursuing a wrongful death lawsuit against a corporate giant.

Haters Back Off (Netflix): Miranda Sings, the untalented wannabe-star character made YouTube-famous by Colleen Ballinger, reaches the next rung of fame: Her own streaming series. The Office's Angela Kinsey co-stars.

Oct. 18

Bad Moms (iTunes). A trio of stressed-out young mothers (Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn) rebel against the authoritarian (Christina Applegate) who runs their school's PTA.

Oct. 19

Chance  (Hulu). Did The Night Manager remind you how much you missed having Hugh Laurie on your screen? Good news: He's back as Dr. Eldon Chance, a neuropsychiatrist who faces off with a patient's abusive husband, who happens to be a corrupt cop. Based on the book by Kem Nunn.

Oct. 21

Black Mirror (Netflix):  Among the stars recruited for the third season of this British series exploring the unintended consequences of technology on daily life: Bryce Dallas Howard, Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beyond the Lights), Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire) and Mackenzie Davis (The Martian).

Oct. 24

19-2 (Acorn): If you were a fan of The Wire or Homicide: Life on the Street, you'd do well to check out this Canadian series about a pair of Montréal detectives played by Adrian Holmes (Arrow) and Jared Keeso (Falling Skies).

Oct. 28

Good Girls Revolt (Amazon). Pitch Perfect's Anna Camp leads a group of female researchers who set out to crack the glass ceiling of their TV newsroom in 1969.

Oct. 31

Brief Encounters (Acorn): Downton Abbey's Penelope Wilton headlines this comedy about a group of married women in 1980s Britain who begin hosting Ann Summers parties where they sell lingerie and sex toys.
