David Tennant heads 'DuckTales' reboot voice cast
The voice cast of the animated DuckTales reboot is something to quack about.
Former Doctor Who star David Tennant stars as filthy rich (yet lovable) Scrooge McDuck on the new Disney XD series, which will premiere next summer and feature characters from the late 1980s DuckTales show. Joining Tennant are three actors well known to TV comedy fans: Danny Pudi (Community), Ben Schwartz (Parks & Recreation) and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) have been tapped to play Scrooge's three mischievous great-nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie respectively.
Moynihan's fellow SNL cast member Beck Bennett voices hero pilot Launchpad McQuack, Toks Olagundoye (Castle) stars as the boys' nanny Mrs. Beakley, and comedian Kate Micucci plays their friend Webby Vanderquack.
Huey, Dewey and Louie's iconic uncle, Donald Duck, is slated to appear on the new show, as will Duckworth the Butler, inventor Gyro Gearloose, bodyguard Gizmoduck, and villains Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell, and Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys.
The cast was revealed Friday with a video featuring the actors singing the '80s DuckTales theme song.
