Nielsens: 'Thrones' reigns, 'Midnight' beats 'Somewhere Between'
Ratings for the week ending July 30, 2017.
Summer openers. NBC's lone new drama, Midnight, Texas, premiered with 3.6 million same-day viewers Monday opposite ABC's new Somewhere Between (2.9 million), which dropped to 1.8 million in Tuesday's time slot premiere.
'Thrones' rules. HBO's Game of Thrones continued to reign on cable, steady with 9.2 million viewers, but Ballers (2.6 million) climbed slightly to a new series high, and so did Insecure (1.3 million).
Welcome back. VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood returned with 2.3 million viewers Monday. TBS comedy People of Earth was back with 646,000. MTV's Teen Wolf began its final run Sunday, way down with 518,000, as BBC America's Top Gear America arrived with 301,000.
