Baseball, booze and Brockmire.

The three Bs are back for a second season of the IFC series (due April 25), which follows disgraced announcer Jim Brockmire (Hank Azaria) as he settles into a new job in New Orleans. Paste BN has the exclusive Season 2 trailer.

After an infamous on-air breakdown as a major league baseball announcer, he's tried to find redemption a decade later with a gig with the Morristown Frackers in Pennsylvania, where he develops a romantic relationship with the team owner, Jules James (Amanda Peet).

Now, he's pining for his ex-girlfriend, Jules, still struggling to get a big-league gig and drinking his way through the Big Easy. But he isn't completely miserable, finding success with a podcast -- "Brock Bottom" -- with the help of his new roommate, Charles (Tyrel Jackson Williams), who has followed him south from Morristown.

"They really are an insanely weird Felix and Oscar," Azaria says of the odd couple.

The show remains an "alcohol-soaked love letter to baseball," he says, but this season features a bleaker tone.

"It's actually darker, which I didn’t think was possible, but then we went ahead and did it," Azaria explains. "They say the way it goes is fun, fun with problems, and just problems for addicts and alcoholics. So if season one was fun, season two is getting into fun with problems."
