CW renews superhero slate, 'Riverdale,' 'Jane the Virgin,' 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,' 'Dynasty'

Most of CW's prime-time lineup can rest easy: the network has given most of its series early renewals.
That includes its entire superhero slate, including Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and freshman sci-fi drama Black Lightning.
The award-winning but ratings-challenged Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin are safe as well, though Crazy star/creator Rachel Bloom tweeted that the fourth season will be its last.
Supernatural and Riverdale, the network's two highest-rated dramas not featuring superheroes, will get a third season, as will one of its lowest, the soap-opera reboot Dynasty.
The fates of four series remain uncertain: iZombie, The 100 and a pair of freshman series, military drama Valor and post-cancer comedy Life Sentence.
CW announced in February that it will program a Sunday night slate beginning this fall, expanding its offerings to six nights a week.
