First Look: Gal Gadot is ready for her 'Simpsons' close-up

Wonder Woman has to audition?

That would seem like a big D'oh, but it's what "Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot is doing in Sept. 30's 30th season premiere of Fox's "The Simpsons" (8 EDT/PDT).

The glamorous actress goes from superhero sublime to Springfield ridiculous, playing herself in her first appearance on the record-setting animated classic

"Bart's Not Dead" features another sweet father-son scam, as impish Bart Simpson, hospitalized after a dare gone wrong, covers for himself and his father, Homer, by saying he went to heaven and met Jesus.

When Christian producers offer the Simpsons a movie deal, Homer and Ned Flanders hold auditions for actors, including Gadot and Emily Deschanel, to play Simpsons family members. (Spoiler alert: This does not turn out well for Bart and Homer.)

The season premiere also features guest-voice appearances by Jonathan Groff, Dave Attell and Pete Holmes.
