TV tonight: 'Mysteries of Laura,' 'Rosewood'

Casual

Hulu

Have you missed Michaela Watkins since Trophy Wife left the air? If so, check out this Hulu comedy that drops a new episode every Wednesday. She plays a divorced woman who moves into her brother's house with her teenage daughter.

The Mysteries of Laura

NBC, 8 ET/PT

Those who watched the first episode of this NBC series probably remember two things: how hideous Laura's children were, and that the murderer was her captain, played by Enrico Colantoni. Well, he's back — and on the lam after a jail break.

Rosewood

Fox, 8 ET/PT

Had you told anyone back in August that Rosewood would be drawing more people than the much more heavily promoted Scream Queens, odds are you would have been told you were crazy. Which is one of the things that makes following TV so entertaining: Viewers ultimately decide whether a show works or not, and their decisions are not always easy to predict. At any rate, for those watching, Adrian Pasdar guests tonight as Rosewood and Villa go after a doctor they think is killing his patients. One thing, though: If the show is going to be with us for awhile, would it be possible to fine-tune Rosewood's braggadocio and Villa's pugnaciousness just a bit — you know, maybe turn the dial down to 8 from its current 10+? Thanks.
