The tale of teen superheroes clashing with their villainous parents had a promising start in November, but the back half of the first season has been a mixed bag, focusing far too often on the parents and their affairs (business and extra-marital) than the kids and their burgeoning powers and relationships.Things kick into a higher gear in the finale, streaming today, when the Runaways face off with their parents. But Jonah (Julian McMahon), who's proven to be a rather dull villain, interferes.

Both Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) have sisters in town, and the very welcome reappearance of Raven-Symoné and Rashida Jones as Rhonda and Santamonica, respectively. Ruby (Jenifer Lewis) takes the opportunity to talk to Rhonda and Dre about their inheritance, while Santamonica stirs up drama when she hires Junior (Marcus Scribner) as her assistant.
