Millennials wrestle with decision to become homeowners
Rent is high, housing inventory is low and competition is fierce. The Gliddens, 26-years-old, take us along on their home buying journey inside Washington, DC. They're ready to buy, but at what price?
Homeownership is an often-complicated, overwhelming process learned through a combination of research, professional help and trial and error.
Elizabeth and David Glidden, both 26, spent months sorting through bank accounts and teaching themselves about down payments, PMI (private mortgage insurance) and condo fees.
The Gliddens purchased their one-bedroom condo in Washington D.C., in March and moved in last month. Join them and Paste BN for a Facebook Live chat at 6 p.m. ET Tuesday.
We'll get a tour of their new home and host a conversation about what it's like to go through the home buying process. Ask your questions live, or email them ahead of time to Hadley Malcolm at hmalcolm@usatoday.com.
