The Federal Reserve Bank will make a monetary policy announcement Wednesday, as its September meeting draws to a close.

Economists don't expect an interest rate hike, but Fed officials have hinted that they'll start to shrink the central bank's bloated asset portfolio, which would affect long-term interest rates.

This is one of the last meetings before Chair Janet Yellen's four-year term ends in February.
