Jack Daniel's gives holiday calendar game a shot in the US

Here's a new way to toast the holiday season – Jack Daniel's Holiday Countdown Calendar.

The Lynchburg, Tennessee distillery made a holiday calendar with small bottles of its various brands of whiskeys available in the U.K. last year. But this year, the calendar gets a wider distribution including the U.S., Mexico, Australia, France, Poland and the Czech Republic.

The Holiday Calendar ($79.99), hitting shelves now, has four 50ml bottles of four whiskeys – Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire – and two bottles each of Gentleman Jack and Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select. Also included: four shot glasses with various Jack Daniel's logos.

Calendars sold outside the U.S. also include an extra 50ml bottle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, as well as Jack Daniel's key ring, jigger and shot glasses.

“We’re excited to roll out the Jack Daniel’s Holiday Calendar into multiple markets this year, as it was a huge hit in the UK in 2018,” said Jeff Arnett, Jack Daniel's master distiller, in a statement. “By expanding the market reach of the calendar this year, we are giving people around the world the opportunity to taste a different Jack Daniel’s whiskey, every drop of which comes from Lynchburg, and enjoy the premium gifts for a lifetime.”

If you want a shot at the calendars, you might want to move fast. Other holiday calendars such as Aldi's wine and beer Advent calendars have been quick sellers.
