Wells Fargo not working? Bank confirms 'intermittent issues'

Wells Fargo resolved technical issues with its banking systems Friday after some customers reported trouble completing transactions.
The website Downdetector showed a sharp uptick in people reporting problems with Wells Fargo’s website Thursday afternoon, with a smaller number of reports continuing Friday morning.
"We are aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with certain transactions. Our teams are working diligently to resolve. We apologize for any inconvenience," reads a statement from spokesperson Hilary O'Byrne shared Thursday afternoon.
One of Wells Fargo's accounts on X, formerly Twitter, acknowledged that some online banking customers have been unable to complete transfers or Zelle transactions. Other posts from the account said credit card transactions had been "incorrectly declined" and that some account balances were affected.
The account at 1:17 p.m. Eastern time said the technical issue was resolved.
"Our technical teams have now fixed the issues, and you should not be experiencing issues," the post said. "Thank you for your patience while we researched this issue."
The issues follow an incident earlier this month in which some customers were unable to see recent deposits.
