Costco set to open 4 US stores this week: See where new locations are coming

Costco is set to open four stores across the country this week, expanding the wholesale warehouse's footprint.
Two stores are set to open in Texas while others will open in Michigan and Massachusetts. The company opened two stores in California late last week.
The first location set to open in Sharon, Massachusetts Wednesday will be the 900th location globally and the 620th in the U.S., CEO Ron Vachris said March 6 during a call with investment analysts.
The company lists one other U.S. location on the "Coming Soon" list on its website, with one location to open in Japan and one location to open in Australia.
Vachris said Thursday prior to the California openings that Costco expects to open six more locations in the U.S., two in Canada and four other international locations over the next six months. "We have big plans for the rest of the fiscal year (which ends Aug. 31)," Vachris said.
Where is Costco opening locations this week?
- Sharon, Massachusetts (March 12)
- Genesee County, Michigan (March 13)
- Prosper, Texas (March 14)
- Weatherford, Texas (March 15)
Are Trump's tariffs impacting Costco?
Vachris said that the situation surrounding President Donald Trump's implementation of tariffs is "very fluid," but executives said on the call that the company buying power makes it well-positioned to weather increased costs.
"It is difficult to predict the impact of tariffs, but our team remains agile and our goal will be to minimize the impact of related cost increases to our members," Vachris said
Costco said its net sales for the 12-week period ending Feb. 16 rose 9.1% to $62.53 billion, up from $57.33 billion last year. U.S. sales during the period rose 8.6%.
The retailer reported 78.4 million paid memberships, an increase of 6.8%, and had membership income growth of 7.4%.
Net income of $1.79 billion rose 2.6% but fell short of the $1.82 billion expected by analysts polled by S&P Global Market Intelligence.
