Topo Chico mineral water in 5 states recalled over bacteria concerns
Among the stores impacted by the recall are select Costco locations in Texas and Louisiana.

Topo Chico mineral water bottles shipped to five states were recalled due to possible bacterial contamination, according to Coca-Cola.
The recalled products were removed from store shelves at 40 retail locations across Arizona, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas, a Coca-Cola spokesperson told Paste BN.
Among those impacted stores are select Costco locations in Texas and Louisiana, the retailer said June 2. Costco said the recalled items − 18-packs of glass 16.9-ounce Topo Chico mineral water − were purchased between May 20 and May 29 at the impacted warehouses.
Costco added that Coca-Cola voluntarily recalled the mineral water due to the possibility of contamination with pseudomonas, a bacterium that can be naturally found in water sources, including mineral water.
No illnesses have been reported, according to Coca-Cola.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, pseudomonas aeruginosa infection can be serious and potentially deadly if you have a weakened immune system.
Which products were recalled at Costco?
Anyone who purchased Topo Chico mineral water at Costco with the lot code #13A2541 can return the item to their local Costco for a full refund, according to the retail chain. Lot codes can be found on the case and the neck of the bottle, Costco said.
