Target fans will soon have more stores to choose from.

The popular Minneapolis-based retailer has plans to open new stores across 22 states, including six new stores in both Florida and Texas.

"From the Big Apple to the California coast and in between, our stores are at the center of how we serve our guests," according to Target's website. "And that's why we're continuing to invest in new stores in neighborhoods across the country."

The retailer says it looks at a number of factors, such as how it can best meet a community's needs, site constraints and other area Target stores, and works closely with local officials to "develop stores that truly make shopping easy, inspiring and affordable."

Here's where Target is planning to open new stores in the near future.

States where new Target stores are set to open

Here is a list of the 22 states set to host new Target locations, according to the store's website.

Arizona

  • Buckeye, Arizona: Northeast corner of Interstate Highway 10 and Verrado Way
  • East Mesa, Arizona: Northeast corner of Highway 60 and Signal Butte Road
  • Queen Creek, Arizona: 37854 N. Gantzel Road

California

  • Bakersfield, California: Panama Lane and Gosford Road
  • Fresno Fancher Creek, California: 205 S. Clovis Avenue
  • Jurupa Valley, California: 8063 Mission Boulevard
  • Perris, California: 1688 N. Perris Boulevard

Colorado

  • Denver, Colorado: Northwest corner of East 56th Avenue and Tower Road
  • Firestone, Colorado: 4358 City Centre Road

Connecticut

  • Guilford, Connecticut: 900 Boston Post Road
  • Norwalk, Connecticut: 680 Connecticut Avenue

Florida

  • Bradenton Heritage Harbour, Florida: 725 Lighthouse Drive
  • Cypress Creek Station, Florida: 6415 N. Andrews Avenue
