David Hasselhoff hits the beach again - in Cannes

CANNES, France -- Performer David Hasselhoff took to the stage at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on Sunday for a seminar about brand relevance. Yet, there was no doubt this1980s heartthrob remained relevant to many audience members. Just after the formal presentation wrapped up, festival attendees swarmed the stage to snap photos of the man now known as "The Hoff."

The Baywatch and Knight Rider star joined executives from public relations firm Golin for the first presentation at this week-long festival, which is the marketing industry's biggest awards competition and trade show.

Later, the jovial and chatty Hasselhoff sat down with Paste BN to talk about the diverse elements of his career, which includes acting in TV shows, singing at concerts and appearing in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

"It's all about not taking life too seriously," he says.
