'Most powerful ever' topless Ferrari heads to Paris
Ferrari will exhibit what it calls its most powerful convertible ever at the Paris Motor show next week and begin taking orders right away.
It's the 458 Speciale A, a supercar that's blazingly fast because of a naturally aspirated V-8 that's good for zero to 62 miles per hour in 3 seconds flat.
Only 499 will be built, Ferrari says.
Ferrari says the car isn't just quick, but agile. The body's rigidity is enhanced by use of 10 aluminum alloys. It also has a technology that Ferrari calls Side Slip Angle Control.
The 458 Speciale A will come with a yellow paint job and a distinctive central stripe.
Price, to be announced, will top the 458 Speciale coupe's $288,000, Ferrari says.
