Audi gives new look to TT sports car for 2016

LOS ANGELES — A new Audi TT is making its debut here next week, an updated look that moves the sports car a little further from its roots.

The 2016 Audi TT Roadster and TTS Coupe have more chiseled lines, not just the basic three-arch design that characterized the original. It will be shown at the press preview of the Los Angeles Auto Show.

"The original Audi TT set a new standard for automotive design with its quintessentially clean Bauhaus lines," says Scott Keogh, president of Audi of America in a statement. "The all-new TT combines incredible technology, performance and design that epitomizes our brand and sets a new standard all its own."

The Audi TT coupe and roadster will come with a 2-liter, 220-horsepower engine, while the more powerful TTS Coupe will will be turbocharged and put out 292 horsepower. They all have all-wheel drive. All TT models have an available six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
