Land Rover confirms topless Evoque
Land Rover will display an updated-for-2016 version of its popular Evoque compact SUV at this year's Geneva International Motor Show, where press days start Tuesday.
But the news doesn't stop there.
On Monday, the automaker put some very old rumors to rest by confirming that it would produce a convertible version of the Evoque.
Details are slim — even in the teaser photo and tease video, the vehicle is wearing camo — but Land Rover said the droptop SUV will go on sale in 2016 and more details will be announced later this year.
Aside from Jeep's Wrangler, it will be the only convertible SUV on the market in the U.S. since Nissan canceled its unpopular, oddball Murano CrossCabriolet.
