Range Rover HST Limited Edition has 380 hp
Land Rover -- already so expensive that most of its model might as well be called limited-edition vehicles -- says it will show an actual Limited Edition at the New York International Automobile Show starting next week.
The 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HST is the new, dear one. To earn the Limited Edition badge, it sports a 380-horsepower 3-liter supercharged V-6 engine, up 40 hp from other models.
No price announced yet.
Whatever it is,it'll include special exterior trim, so the neighbors don't think you're wheeling about in a mere $69,000 Range Rover Sport, non-HST.
The guy down the block with the $100,000-plus Range Rover Sport supercharged, 550-hp model might still curl his lip in disdain as you drive by, though.
While the Sport is the best-selling Range Rover and the best-selling of any Land Rover in the U.S., it still manages to trickle out to just 1,300 to 1,500 buyers a month.
The Rover models are part of Jaguar Land Rover. The Rover side posted a small increase in sales last year, which offset Jaguar's falling sales, giving the company overall a number about flat with the year before.
