The strangest French car is now 60

To some, it's an oddball. To others, it's a work of art.

It's France's DS Citroen, the cars that, like the country where it was produced, never was afraid of being different.

The unique car's 60th anniversary is being celebrated in Paris this weekend. It should be honored in America, too, because there are a few of the cars here as well.

Americans knows Citroens mostly for the tough, crude-looking little Citroen 2 CV, the "deux chavaux" or two horses, that became the student car of Europe. It has showed up in many French movies.

But it's the big DS sedans that are also icons with their long, long wheelbases.

They're all good. And they are all on display in Paris this weekend.
