Tesla CFO Deepak Ahuja is leaving
Tesla's CFO, Deepak Ahuja, one of a few executives who was with the electric-car maker from its beginnings, is leaving the company.
CEO Elon Musk paid tribute to Ahuja during the company's shareholder meeting Tuesday.
"Together, we overcame the challenges of the early days at Tesla," Musk said in remarks released by the company. "As our first CFO, he guided us through several investment rounds, led the effort to take Tesla public, helped us become a strong business based on solid gross margins, and built a very strong finance team."
Ahuja called his time at Tesla a "nonstop adrenaline rush" and said it was time to "check a few things off my bucket list and pursue other goals."
The new came after the close of markets Tuesday. Tesla shares were closed at $256, down 29 cents or 0.11%
