GM brings Chevrolet Impala to South Korea

Chevrolet Impalas will be driving into the South Korean market for the first time.

General Motors says it has begun taking pre-orders in South Korea for the newest Impala model. This marks the first time the brand is introducing a full-size sedan into the South Korean domestic market.

The vehicle will come with engine options: a 2.5-llter four-cylinder engine and a 3.6-liter V-6 engine. The model will also include special features for South Korea only, like power folding side mirrors, an electronic toll collecting system and rain-sensing wipers to fit customer needs.

Other fun features include rear audio controls and rear heated seats for an elevated, backseat ride.

The 2016 impala models will also be equipped with Apple CarPlay. The system allows iPhone users to hook up their mobile device to the vehicle's display, with abilities to make calls, send texts and listen to messages with access by the touchpad.

The 2016 Impalas will be assembled at the General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant
