Leather interior? This car has a leather exterior

Lots of car buyers crave a leather interior. So why not as leather exterior as well?

That's what Christian Effinger had in mind in Europe. He found prime hides to swaddle his Audi S4 Cabrio on the outside, not just the inside.

The car is being shown in conjunction with the Essen Motor Show in Germany, which comes billed as "Europe's leading fair for performance vehicles."

Leather certain works well in interiors. It's rich, durable and wears well. Plus, the whole cabin smells great. But outside? That's a different matter. It would be susceptible to the elements in a hurry.

But it sure looks great.
