DETROIT -- Ford F-150 Raptor fans got a look at the new SuperCrew version of a pickup truck that can hurtle 100 miles per hour off-road.

This second-generation Raptor was in high demand in the first version, making it an easy decision to create the next, aluminum version.

The 2017 Raptor will be built at the Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan and goes on sale this fall. Pricing has not been announced.

At last year's Detroit auto show, Raptor aficionados got their first look at the new truck with an aluminum body, which shed 500 pounds and gained more off-road agility. It made it possible to swap out the 6.2-liter V-8 engine that generated 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque for a new high-output V-6 engine that has even more power. The truck also gets Ford's new 10-speed automatic transmission.

The second-generation Raptor was first shown as an extended-cab SuperCab. The new Super Crew accounts for about 80% of sales. The 145-inch wheelbase is a foot longer, making room for four full-size doors.
