Barrett-Jackson wraps up record car, truck auction

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- More than 100 cars went up for auction on the last day of Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on Sunday, including a 1968 GMC custom pick-up that was partially rebuilt on-site during the week-long collector-car event.

Barrett-Jackson says consigned more cars and trucks for this year's event than any of its previous ones, more than 1,700. All but 15 cars sold with no reserve price, meaning there was no minimum bid.

2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

A custom-built four-door Wrangler with more than $70,000 in upgrades, this 2015 Jeep was built for the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, according to the seller. The Jeep was lifted 7.5 inches, has 37-inch tires and Fox Racing shocks on all four corners. The car has about 1,500 miles. Price: $75,900

1967 Dodge Dart GT convertible

One of 1,626 ever built, this 1967 Dodge Dart GT convertible has been owned by one family and is largely unrestored with about 60,000 miles, according to the seller. The car has a power top, power steering, a V-8 engine with automatic transmission and a dual exhaust. Price: $39,600.

2010 Camaro "Indy 500 pace car"

This 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is one of 25 "Indy 500 pace cars" made that year and has just over 1,000 miles. The Camaro has the SS package with a 400-horsepower, 6.2-liter engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. It features a leather interior and has been stored in a climate-controlled environment, according to the seller. Price: $44,000.

1956 Ford Thunderbird convertible

This 1956 Ford Thunderbird has just 5,500 miles and runs on a 312-cubic-inch V-8 engine with a two-speed automatic transmission. The car features a telescopic steering wheel and Continental kit, according to the seller. Price: $55,000.

2006 Bentley Flying Spur

Featuring a black leather interior and about 26,000 miles, this 2006 Bentley runs on a 6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 552 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission. The luxury car has a navigation system, heated seats, parking sensors and sound system with a CD changer. Price: $64,900.

1968 GMC custom pickup

This 1968 GMC truck was customized on site at Barrett-Jackson during the week-long event. The truck runs on a 350-cubic-inch V8 engine, with upgrades including Forgeline wheels, Baer brakes, a new fuel tank and instrument gauges. Price: $82,500.

1979 Chevrolet Nomad van

More than 30 years old but virtually undriven with 217 miles, this Chevy van was discovered in a rural Canadian barn in November after sitting in storage since 1980, according to the seller. Nothing but the battery has been replaced, and the van drives like new, according to the seller. Price: $26,400.

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

This vintage Ford muscle car has been restored and upgraded with a 351-cubic-inch Windsor roller-cam motor, according to the seller. The car has a five-speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch, Borgeson power steering, upgraded suspension and nine-inch Bogart Racing wheels. Price: $46,200.

2006 Aston Martin DB9 Volante

A British high-performance luxury car with a 5.9-liter V-12 engine, this 2006 Aston Martin has a six-speed automatic transmission and about 39,000 miles. The car has navigation, heated seats, xenon headlights, 15-spoke wheels and a power soft-top, according to the seller. Price: $55,000.

1980 Chevrolet C-10 pickup

This 1980 Chevy truck has 962 miles and is unrestored with original paint and a 350-cubic-inch V-8 engine. It was initially purchased for use on a family farm but was discovered almost unused in November, according to the seller. Price: $31,350.
