Mercedes-Benz is recalling 3,800 vehicles due to battery issues. Check recalls here

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued multiple recalls this week including more than 3,800 Mercedes-Benz cars and a Tiffin motorhome recall involving 242 vehicles.

Car owners can check Paste BN’s automotive recall database or search NHTSA’s database for new recalls. The NHTSA website also allows you to search for recalls based on your vehicle identification number, or VIN.

Mercedes-Benz 2022-2023 sedan recall

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 3,823 of its 2022-2023 sedans because the high-voltage battery monitoring system software may not alert the driver of a battery malfunction. A high-voltage battery monitoring system that does not alert the driver of a battery malfunction may increase the risk of a crash, injury, or fire.

  • 2022 Mercedes-AMG EQS 53
  • 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+
  • 2022 & 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450
  • 2022 & 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580
  • 2023 Mercedes-Benz S 580e
  • 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350

Dealers will update the battery management system software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 27, 2023. Owners may contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.

Other vehicles recalled this week

Tiffin Breeze motorhomes recall

Tiffin Motorhomes is recalling 242 of its 2020-2023 Breeze motorhomes. The condensation pan under the refrigerator may overflow and leak into the Molex electrical connections on the floor. Water in the electrical connections can increase the risk of a fire.

Recalled vehicles:

  • 2020-2023 Tiffin Allegro Breeze

Dealers will relocate the Molex connectors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 26, 2023. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is TIF-130.
