Over 35,000 Lincoln Navigators recalled for fire risk: Here's which vehicles are impacted

Ford is recalling more than 35,000 Lincoln Navigator vehicles due to a risk of a fire, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is reporting.

LED logo lights on the vehicles' exterior mirrors may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire, according to the recall posted by federal safety regulators.

The recall affecting 35,328 vehicles was first reported by the company to the NHTSA on Feb. 14.

Here's what to know about the vehicle recall including which Lincoln models and years are affected.

The recall affects the following vehicle makes, models and years:

  • Lincoln Navigator 2015-2017

What should I do if my Lincoln Navigator is recalled?

Dealers will disconnect the LED light wires free of charge, according the recall report posted by the NHTSA.

Notification letters are expected to be mailed to owners around March 24.
