Nearly 150,000 Ford and Lincoln vehicles recalled: See which years, models

Ford Motor Company is recalling nearly 150,000 vehicles for three different issues, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recalls posted April 16 impact some Ford and Lincoln models, including 2024 Ford Explorers and 2017 Lincoln Navigators, though several years and models are included.

Notification letters for these recalls are being sent starting at the end of April, but Ford and Lincoln owners can also call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 or visit nhtsa.gov.

Ford recalls impact nearly 150,000 vehicles across 6 models

Here are the recent recalls on Ford Motors' vehicles, according to the NHTSA:

Ford Explorers (2025)

  • Recall reason: The powertrain control module may reset while driving, potentially damaging the park system or causing the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
  • Number of cars potentially impacted: 24,655
  • Remedy: Dealers will update the control module for free.

Ford Expeditions, Ford F-150s and Lincoln Navigators (2017 and 2018)

  • Recall reason: The brake master cylinder may leak, leading to lower brake functionality.
  • Number of cars potentially impacted: 123,611
  • Remedy: The brake master cylinder will be replaced free of charge. Other brake part replacements may be performed if there is already a leak.

Ford Rangers and Lincoln Nautiluses (2024)

  • Recall reason: Some windows do not automatically reverse after detecting an object. Some vehicles repaired under a previous recall were done so incorrectly.
  • Number of cars potentially impacted: 1,168
  • Remedy: Dealers will fix the door parts free of charge.
