Beefy Crunch Burrito returns to Taco Bell menu after winning fan vote

A Taco Bell favorite – the Beefy Crunch Burrito – has returned to the restaurant's menu, along with a new item.

Back in March, Taco Bell held a fan vote on the Taco Bell app, pitting the Beefy Crunch Burrito against the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos for a return spot on the restaurant chain's menu. The Beefy Crunch Burrito prevailed with 60% of the votes and its limited-time return to the menu has come.

The Beefy Crunch Burrito, which is made with seasoned beef and rice, nacho cheese sauce, reduced-fat sour cream and Fritos Flamin’ Hot Flavored Corn Chips, hasn't been available since 2018. After being introduced in 2010, the burrito was taken off the menu in 2011 and has had several limited runs over the past decade.

When does the Beefy Crunch Burrito return to Taco Bell's menu?

The Beefy Crunch Burrito ($2.49 or $6.49 in a combo) returns to the fast-food chain's menu on Thursday, August 3. That's the same day another new limited menu item, the Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, hits the menu, too.

However, Taco Bell Rewards Members could begin ordering it two days earlier, on Tuesday, August 1, by using the Taco Bell app.

The Beefy Crunch Burrito benefited from a strong fan following that includes the Beefy Crunch Movement, an online community that has supported the menu item's permanent return to the menu. "We banded together earlier this year, got the votes in and we are beyond pumped to finally get a taste of what we believe is the best item to ever hit Taco Bell menus," movement founder Richard Axton said in a statement given to Taco Bell. "We are counting down the days until August 1 when it’s available early access and looking forward to savoring every last bite while it’s still available.”
