All Del Taco locations in Colorado abruptly close, except one. Company says it's temporary.
All Colorado locations of Del Taco, a popular fast food restaurant that serves Mexican food, were abruptly closed Thursday, except for one.
The company said in an emailed statement to Paste BN on Friday that Del Taco franchise locations in Denver and Colorado Springs "are temporarily closed."
"We will re-open these locations as soon as possible and will share updates as they become available," the statement continued. "The Del Taco location in Grand Junction is owned and operated by a different franchisee and remains open for business."
The locations were closed by franchisee Newport Ventures.
"Del Taco is proud to have been serving the state of Colorado since 2003 and we appreciate the ongoing support from our loyal guests," the company said.
According to reporting from KDVR, a Fox-affiliated TV station in Denver, signs were posted on doors Thursday alerting customers that "all Colorado Del Taco locations are closed until further notice."
KDVR reported that the note from staff and management read, "We thank you for your patronage, the memories we have created together, and wish you well."

Online ordering has been temporarily disabled for Del Taco's Colorado locations.
According to Del Taco's website, the chain has 591 locations across 18 states in the United States.
