Wendy's giving away free Thin Mints Frosty treats for National Girl Scout Day: How to get one

Wendy's is making Girl Scout cookie season a little sweeter with a special freebie.
The fast-food chain is giving away small Thin Mints Frostys to customers who make a purchase on the Wendy's app on Wednesday, also known as National Girl Scout Day.
"Celebrate all of the fun and friendship with the limited-time Frosty inspired by the iconic Girl Scout Cookies," Wendy's said in a news release.
The mint-flavored dessert was made available for purchase at Wendy's restaurants nationwide on Feb. 21, the same day Girl Scout Cookies could be purchased by all. Thin Mints Frostys will remain on the menu for a limited time while supplies last.
Wendy's, a licensed partner of Girl Scouts of the USA, also announced last month that more than 4,200 of its restaurants across the country are "ready to host Girl Scout troops throughout the Girl Scout Cookie season to help local troops reach their goals."
"The friendship between Wendy's and Girl Scouts of the USA is mint to be," Lindsay Radkoski, Wendy's marketing executive said in a news release. "By bringing together two iconic fan favorite flavors into a single spoonful, we're delivering an exclusive, one-of-a-kind Frosty experience to connect with our Wendy's fanbase and Girl Scout Cookie supporters alike."
Here's how to get the freebie on National Girl Scout Day.
How to get a free Thin Mints Frosty
Customers must make a purchase on the Wendy's app or online to redeem the free Thin Mints Frosty at participating Wendy's locations on Wednesday, March 12. You'll need to register for an account to claim the deal, a Wendy's spokesperson said.
Wendy's customers can win prizes through interactive game
Wendy's customers can also play an interactive game, which launched Feb. 24, in the Wendy's mobile app for a chance to win daily prizes.
Food prizes and the chance to be entered into a sweepstakes for the possibility to win up to $10,000 are up for grabs on the Thin Mints Frosty Adventure game.
