'It's real!': DC Powerball winner says he dreamt of becoming millionaire just days earlier

Some dreams come true immediately.
A Washington, D.C., man who won a Powerball drawing last week said the life-changing jackpot came soon after he dreamt about becoming a millionaire, lottery officials say.
The D.C. native, who was only identified as Tommy, won a $1 million jackpot on March 26 with a ticket he bought at a Tenley Market liquor store in the nation's capital, according to the D.C. Lottery.
Tommy credits his win to a dream he had after coping with the tragic deaths of his mother and his pet.
"It hit me hard, I lost my mom and my dog within a short timeframe," Tommy said. "But I had a dream just the other day. It told me I was going to be a millionaire. And here it is. It’s real."
Tommy scored the winning ticket after matching the five white Powerball numbers, 5-20-29-39-53. But he failed to match the Powerball number, 6.
"As regular players, we’re all familiar with one another. We talk about what numbers came out, who won—and this time, it’s me," he added.
He told lottery officials that he plans use the funds to treat himself to a vacation before saving the rest for retirement and whatever is next.
