America’s Richest (and Poorest) States
From Mississippi to Maryland, Douglas McIntyre of 24/7 Wall Street looks at the richest and poorest states in America.
To identify the richest and poorest states with the highest and lowest median household income, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed state data on income from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2014 American Community Survey.
The Magnolia State has the lowest median income — $39,680. The highest? That's the Old Line State, at $73,971.
In the video, 24/7 Wall St.'s Doug McIntyre explains the rankings.
