How to easily make the perfect homemade breakfast sandwich

Ingredients:

  • Bagel, croissant or bread of choice
  • Fully cooked bacon
  • 1 Egg (to make multiple sandwiches, you can bake several eggs at one time)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Tomato
  • Spinach

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350° F.
  • Opt for fully pre-cooked bacon as a shortcut to avoid the mess and lengthy cooking process of uncooked bacon. Store cooked bacon in the freezer for convenience on busy days.
  • Create a mold for your egg by shaping a piece of foil around your bagel or bread. This will ensure your egg is the perfect size for your sandwich.
    • Tip: Create multiple molds to batch-prepare your eggs.
  • Invert the foil mold and place it on a baking sheet.
  • Apply cooking spray to the foil mold to prevent sticking.
  • Crack the egg into the foil mold, or whip it before pouring it into the mold for scrambled egg. You can also make it omelet-style and add your favorite veggies to the egg.
  • Season the egg with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bake the egg in the oven at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes, checking egg(s) periodically for desired consistency.
  • At the end of the egg’s baking period, toast your bagel or bread if desired.
  • Assemble your breakfast sandwich by adding baked egg, bacon, spinach, and tomato to your toasted bagel or bread.
